December 19, 2013 Energy Air Share this post The Energy Air team recently kicked off construction of the HVAC system for Cypress Creek High School in Orlando. The contracted scope includes HVAC installation services for the renovation and expansion of approximately 391,000 square feet of an existing high school campus in Orange County that was originally constructed in 1992. Buildings to be renovated include administrative, multi-purpose/dining, classroom, laboratory, art, music suite, media center, science, gymnasium, performing arts center, field house and football stadium. The purpose of the renovation and expansion is to provide improved facilities and to modernize the campus, which is located at 1101 Bear Crossing Drive in Orlando. Mechanical systems to be installed include: 6,447 feet of pre-insulated underground chilled water piping, (3) 500 ton air-cooled chillers, 26 air handlers, 93 fans & intake ventilators, 6 DX split systems, 1 PTAC, 249 VAVs and related equipment totaling 1,500 tons of cooling.
