September 29, 2011 Energy Air Share this post Orlando-based air conditioning and heating contractor, Energy Air, Inc., ranks among the top 100 privately held companies in the central Florida area according to the latest Orlando Business Journal list. Sitting among the top of the central Florida business community, Energy Air ranked at No. 41 based on its 2010 revenue of $39.5 million. Energy Air, Inc. is a privately held company owned by Charles Kulp, who joined the company in 1978; less than two years after the company was formed in former owner Robert French’s garage. Energy Air provides air conditioning and heating system installation, repair, replacement and maintenance for residential and commercial customers. Although the company’s revenue has decreased since the residential housing bust, the company has managed to maintain its volume with major projects in the commercial sector. “We’re fortunate that we’ve been able to build some really great relationships throughout the years,” said Kulp. “Providing exceptional service to those clients has enabled us to secure work during this downtown.” The list, which published in the September 16-22, 2011 edition of the Orlando Business Journal is a part of the publication’s annual Book of Lists and ranks privately held companies by most recent year-end revenue.
