May 26, 2011 Energy Air Share this post More than 100 Energy Air field operations employees gathered at the company’s in-house fabrication facility and warehouse on Thursday, May 19 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. as a commitment to safety at work for the annual Safety Roundup event. The focus of this annual event is to inform employees about safe work habits as well as demonstrate the latest in safety and personal protective equipment through interactive stations and product demonstrations set up throughout the warehouse. Employees from both the Orlando and Plant City offices attended the roundup to learn about various safety topics including fall protection demonstrations and training, material movement, hoisting tools, general liability, vehicle safety and gas bottle transportation. The company also conducted inspections and maintenance of ladders and inspections on fall protection gear. All safety and PPE products demonstrated were also made available to the employees. Energy Air adopted a zero-accident approach in 2010 and makes a continued effort to audit its program by coming up with fun, interactive ways to reinforce safe work habits throughout the year. The company’s safety committee comprised of employees working both in the office and on construction projects, from the administrative level to senior management, is responsible for the planning and execution of the Safety Roundup event each year.
