  • Energy Air Completes Construction of New Microsoft Store at the Florida Mall

The Energy Air team completed construction of the air conditioning and heating system of the new Microsoft Store at the Florida Mall in Orlando. The scope included the full demolition and renovation of the HVAC systems of two existing retail spaces that were turned into the new Microsoft store. The mechanical system installed includes two 20-ton Trane rooftop units to serve the sales floor, three Trane split systems to serve the back-of-house areas and two Liebert split systems for the server room.

The store was designed and constructed to attain a Silver LEED certification by the USGBC. Energy Air started construction of the air conditioning system in February 2012 and finished the 7,221 square foot renovation in May. This is the first Microsoft Store in Florida. The HVAC control system interface is a touch screen PC, and steam humidifiers provide precise humidity control.
