Chuck Kulp honored in Carrier’s Hall of Fame

DALLAS, March 13, 2015 — For a lifetime of service to both the indoor comfort industry and his community, Chuck Kulp has been selected as a member of the Carrier Hall of Fame. The recognition affirms Kulp’s place among the finest Carrier dealers in the nation and recognizes the excellence of his Energy Air team.

Chuck partnered with Robert French, the founder of Energy Air, and helped turn a 1976 garage start-up into a $50 million business employing several hundred employees, positively influencing scores of families, and making a significant economical and charitable impact across the Central Florida region.

Kulp has relied on a foundation of unwavering family values and a steadfast commitment to improving the central Florida community and his employees to build Energy Air into a strong community member.

A one-stop, full-service Residential and Commercial firm that incorporates every aspect of comfort – from pre-construction planning and fabrication to installation and service – Energy Air is a trusted heating, ventilating and air conditioning contractor in central Florida. Kulp’s children and grandchildren have joined the family business, propelling the future of Energy Air.

Kulp’s standing in the community is also built on an exemplary record of community service.

His support of local trade organizations serving the HVAC industry, as well as a robust training program have established Kulp as a leader in the industry. Energy Air’s in-house training, which includes a program instructing employees on all aspects of HVAC, exemplifies how to grow a business by focusing on creating first-class employees who are positioned to best serve customer needs.

Kulp has served on the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board and was the Air Conditioning Contractors Association of Central Florida’s apprenticeship program committee chairman for over 15 years.

His philanthropic service to the central Florida community has positively impacted countless lives. Kulp has organized events and donated to causes that include diabetes research, supporting people with mental disabilities and building homes for wounded veterans.

Carrier, a world leader in high-technology heating, ventilating and air-conditioning solutions, is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
