November 05, 2010 energyair Share this post Two Energy Air employees walked away winners from the International Facility Managers Association (IFMA) chili cook-off and vendor showcase event on November 4. Mike Mason, Director of Commercial Service Development and Kati Trisler, Director of Marketing, won the award because of the addition of ground sausage and red wine in the chili recipe, according to feedback from the judges and many of the chili tasters. The event was held at the Historic Dubsdread Ballroom in College Park from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. More than 15 chili cooks participated in the first-year event. Additional awards included People’s Choice Award given to SAFE Fire Protection and Judge’s Choice Award given to Allied Barton Security Services. In addition to all facility manager participants, the chili judges included Chase Brackett of Darden Restaurants, Chef Morgan Fekess of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts and Ryan from Central Florida Childrens Home. A portion of the proceeds from the evening benefited the Central Florida Childrens Home. Participants also donated bags of food items to the home.
