  • Energy Air’s Field Team ‘Tools Up’ at Annual Tool Day

ORLANDO, FL October 13, 2009 — The field team of local air conditioning company, Energy Air, Inc., stocked up on new tools at the company’s annual Tool Day on Thursday, October 8, 2009.

The event took place in Energy Air’s on-site warehouse where their duct and sheet metal fabrication is done. Vendors set up tables and booths showcasing their products, and Energy Air employees had the opportunity to purchase tools via a payroll deduction and at significantly discounted prices compared to retail tool pricing.

This is the fourth year Energy Air has hosted Tool Day for its employees. More than 105 field staff and approximately 50 office employees attended the event. Recorded sales from the event were in excess of $14,000.00.

Giving the field team the opportunity to purchase new tools via a payroll deduction benefits everyone according to Philip “Critter” Crider, vice president of operations for Energy Air.

“This time of year, most of the guys’ paychecks are going toward Christmas and other obligations,” said Critter. “By giving them an opportunity to purchase the latest and greatest tools in the industry through a payroll deduct plan, we’re giving them the means to do their job better and more confidently.”

Energy Air’s owners believe Tool Day is a win-win for all.

“This is a chance for the men to get new tools, see what’s new in the industry and then have a chance to socialize with each other,” said David Kulp, executive vice president for Energy Air and part owner.

Outside the warehouse, a grill was set up, and food and refreshments were served.

The primary vendors at the event, Johnstone and Ferguson, each had two to three representatives with various brands of tools and products displayed and available for purchase.
