    Creating Comfortable Learning Environments

There’s something special about helping to build a school. Making an impact on a community project that will better the lives of students is something we’re proud of at Energy Air. We know how important it is for students to have comfortable learning environments. From the library to the classroom, inadequate heating and cooling can lead to decreased productivity and lack of focus.

To help students thrive, we have performed HVAC installations in hundreds of educational facilities, including public and private elementary, middle and high schools, technical schools and higher educations facilities. Our scope of work includes new construction, remodels and additions, higher education facility classrooms, dormitories, kitchens, auditoriums, laboratories, gymnasiums, baseball stadium concessions and more. We’ve even installed a heat exchanger underwater for an LEED Platinum classroom built to host groups for environmental education.

Fast-Track Installations to Meet Tight Schedules

Our experienced team understands the unique time constraints that come with working on educational facilities. With our customizable scheduling process and in-house design and fabrication, we can meet demanding project schedules during critical summer shutdowns. Our skilled technicians are familiar with all national and local safety codes for educational facilities and have experience in overcoming HVAC challenges in structures of all types and sizes.

The Energy Air field team is strategically located throughout central Florida, ready to work on educational facility projects across Orlando, Tampa, Ocala and beyond. From the installation of the first thermal storage system for Orange County Public Schools to the installation of two miles of chilled water underground for the University of Central Florida – the second largest university in the nation – we can handle projects of any scope.

    Education Facility Projects

Here’s a look at some of the most impressive education facility projects we’ve recently completed:

    Edgewater High School

We successfully completed the installation of a chilled water system at Edgewater High School. The finished project had an installed mechanical value of around $6 million, including 40 chilled water air handler units, 201 variable air volume units and 24 thermal storage tanks, all controlled by a direct digital control system.

    UCF Student Athletic Dorm

For this project, Energy Air installed over two miles of underground chilled water lines with valves and pumping stations. The 1,200,000 square feet of student housing and retail space contains four buildings and houses 2,000 students. The project was completed in 36 months, with approximately 4,000 tons of cooling and an $8 million mechanical value.
