Be sure the area around your outdoor unit is always free from obstructions like tree or plant fibers, which can make your system work harder than it should. A full AC maintenance check-up once or twice per year will also ensure your system is running at maximum efficiency. A thermostat that is programmable will also help your air conditioner be more energy efficient because it will allow you to set and change the temperature in your home from wherever you may be.
