Halifax River Clean Up 2015

It was a great day of community service and fun for the Halifax Sport Fishing Club at the biannual Halifax River Clean Up event! The 12 boats and kayaks that participated gathered a mountain of trash from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The plethora of items collected included buckets, potty chairs, plastic bottles, flip flops, tarps, tires, plastic bags, Styrofoam blocks, pieces of docks, wood, rope, balls, lures, camping equipment and much more. All trash was loaded into a construction dumpster and hauled away. After the hard day’s work, club members were able to unwind with a seafood feast thanks to Down the Hatch Seafood Company in Ponce Inlet. Energy Air is happy to help support this event, which helps keep these Volusia County waters clean.
